I was talking to my children about how important it is to be honest, and that nothing makes mommy more upset than lies. Shortly after, I started counting up all of the small white fibs that I've recently told like...
*Telling Luke that potstickers and chili are vegetarian meals so that he will eat something besides jelly.
*Telling him that our couch and ottoman as well as his basketball and baseball are made out of "plastic leather" so that he will touch them.
*Telling my children that if they don't go to sleep and eat well, they won't grow.
*When asked if the **&*@)!! is real, I smile and say yes.
*Telling them that playing video games and watching TV will turn their heads into mush.
Does the end really justify the means?

is this similar to you giving me "nonfat" cookies in high school???
See you had lots of practice - even back then.
And I had no idea Luke's vegan attitude extended so far into your lives. Wowie!! You are a patient mother -- and he a stubborn son. :)
