Liza Jane is 11 weeks

sweetest baby ever... She is smiling and sleeping...what more could I ask for?

Just a little refresher...

Luke "just wanted to refresh myself a little mom..." He did his hair special for me this day and "spruced up his outfit too!"

Christmas picture

Family Christmas picture attempt #2...still nothing. Why did I even bother to get them matching outfits?

Mario

Makay (sister/aunt) introduced my children to the gaming world this summer and Luke fell in love with Mario. He talks about it all the time and counts the minutes until Makay will bring back the beloved nintendo. The other day he decided to make believe Mario world and took his sister along with him.

Santa Picture

Have you ever tried to get 4 children to smile at once? How about just look at the camera? Impossible. You'd think that at least Luke would be a pro...and he's the hardest one! Anyway, this is a snap shot with Santa at our ward Christmas party. Boy was that an event to remember...200 kids full of sugar, running circles around the tables where the adults were trying to enjoy a nice dinner.

Christmas Creche

I was very heavily involved in our stake's Christmas creche this year-what is a creche you ask? Check out our website: www.mvchristmascreche.org! It took nearly 1,000 hours to plan but it was amazing. We had over 400 nativities, live Christmas music and 2,200 people from all over attend. The pictures are of us with Eliza in the live nativity . We had a last minute cancellation for the live nativity and so I called Dave and told him to run over with baby so we could play Mary and Joseph. It was a very spiritual experience...definitely the highlight of my season!

Quote of the day...

"Is Veterans Day the day the warriors get to take a break?" Eden Collings

Baby Eliza is one month!

We've made it through the first month. I had help the first three weeks and boy did I sure need it!!She is doing well...she likes to cry a lot in the day but she is sleeping at night. Nobody ever told me how hard it was to take 4 kids anywhere. I think that I am literally going to hibernate this winter.

Fall

I love it when my mother visits...she always takes such amazing pictures. Take a peak at our beautiful area in the fall. These pics were taken just outside our neighborhood on the trail.

Halloween

I finally figured out this whole blog thing thanks to my sister in law Nat! Hopefully I can organize it better than I am my life... Halloween was great. My kids did the whole church trunk or treat on the 30th and then our neighborhood last night. I let the kids pick their own costumes this year. Tuck picked "tark" Luke insisted on being the "black spiderman" even though he's never seen the movie. Should I be worried that he gravitates towards evil characters? Eden, for the 4th time, was a princess...can you guess which one?

Soccer

We gave soccer a try this fall...aren't all kids supposed to love soccer? Luke couldn't understand why the others wouldn't share the ball with him and Eden danced around the field like a ballerina. Eden's sticking to piano and Luke, well he too has found himself a hobby: http://shop.nordstrom.com/C/6008500/0~2379292~2379293~6008500?mediumthumbnail=Y&origin=leftnav&pbo=2379293

Eliza Jane Collings

She zoomed into our lives on October 6th, 2007 at 12:28 in the morning. We arrived at the hospital at 12:10 and she was literally born 18 minutes later. The other children were anxious to meet her but Luke by far is the one most fascinated with her. He is always asking to hold her and is very proud to be her big brother.

I am new at this

We just had our 4th child and I find myself with a lot of "home time" on my hands. I've had so much fun reading the blogs from out of state friends and family and thought this would be an easy way to keep you updated with the Collings!
