In 1972 my grandfather gave this car to my mother for Christmas. In 1976, one weekend while my mother was away working in Utah (they lived in California,) my father surprised my mother with a BMW, that he bought by selling her Mustang to one of his employees. She was heartbroken, and really never forgot about it - believe me, we heard about it for YEARS! 35 years later, my sweet father tracked down the EXACT car, re-purchased it, hauled it from Colorado to Utah and had it restored. This past weekend, he gather all of the siblings, close friends and relatives together and told my mother we were going to a birthday party for my brother.
